Beaux Frères Tasting Room
The storied Beaux Frères Winery is one of the oldest and most revered labels in Oregon and has long occupied a former hog farm in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge American Viticultural Area.
Part of the Chehalem Mountains near Newberg, about an hour southwest of Portland, Ribbon Ridge is distinguished by uniform, unique ocean sedimentary soils and a geography that are particularly suited to Pinot Noir. Since its inception nearly 40 years ago, Beaux Frères has produced internationally acclaimed Pinot that are sought by collectors.
From the very beginning, the Tasting Room has been housed in the original barn, where an unpretentious, familial experience has long been the hallmark of the brand and core to the values of the winery. Using a subtle hand, Observation Studio carefully reorganized the space, updated finishes and systems while respecting the original identity of the barn and hospitality experience. The results are nuanced, an evolution rather than a revolution.
By refining the Tasting Room identity of the existing barn and its sublime relationship to the landscape, the enduring legacy of Beaux Frères and its future as one of America’s great wineries are honored.
