Linden, Brown Architecture
is an acclaimed architecture practice driven by materiality and immersive space. Our portfolio includes a diverse range of project types and scales born out of relationships with visionary clients and a fascination with place, materials, and craft. Like so many itinerant travelers that find their way to the West Coast, we found our spiritual home in the Pacific Northwest through its sublime landscape and the shared values of the community. We find endless inspiration in the river gorges, the mountains, and the forests. We see the rich qualities of the natural environment as inspiration for built, architectural spaces. The places we build benefit from a legacy of design and craftsmanship that also exists here, whether in historic timber framing industry or in the contemporary design movement, for shoes, clothing, and tools. We form lasting relationships with clients, builders, artists, and craftspeople, and to create timeless places of shared experience that are responsive and resourceful, using an economy of means towards a maximum of meaning. Embedded in a culture of making, our studio is a place of exploration and wonder, finding the beauty and possibilities in every design.
